Golf Glossary - 'X'
X - For whatever reason when a score on a particular
hole cannot be accurately determined an X is recorded
on the scorecard. Example: "After ending up in
the gully of fescue George took so many swings that
he lost count and ended up taking an X on the hole."
X factor - the technical term used to describe
the separation between the rotation of the shoulders
and the hips during a golf swing. Example: "Typically
the bigger the X-factor in your swing the faster the
clubhead speed you can generate."
