This course is set in a valley with nice holes
out and nine holes back to the clubhouse. Considering
what Michael Hurdzon had to work with, he did
an awesome job. Water is definitely in play on
17 of the 18 holes and the fescue and rough make
execution paramount on your way around the course.
For such a high price we were disappointed that
there were only mats on the driving range and
that there was very little room for each person
to warm up prior to their round. This being said
the course itself was really well manicured and
the pro shop service was excellent.
A nice perk is that the club uses GPS on their
carts so that you always have very accurate yardage
to either the hazards or the different areas of
the green.
Note that this course is largely about 'target
golf' and club selection is extremely important.
You may not use every club in your bag but the
ones you do use will need to be accurate if you
plan on scoring well. Bring lots of extra balls
on account of the water and fescue.
Remember to duck on the third green as planes
landing at the nearby Toronto International Airport
seem close enough to hit with a good nine-iron
shot. Very loud too.
Truly a hidden gem and easily accessible from
anywhere in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).
Best Hole: #16
Why: An excellent par 4 where a well-placed tee
shot will set up a short to mid approach to a
massive green amidst lots of water short and left
