This course has received the audobon society
award for maintaining the environment in and around
the golf course. Fescue and trees coupled with
a creek that runs through the course provide adequate
hazards to get you into trouble. The sand traps
left a little to be desired although after having
played the course a number of times they seem
to have better days than others. Greens roll true
and are smooth but lack much in the way of undulations
and are relatively slow.
A number of the holes play really well as this
is a fun course to play. The one exception is
the 9th hole which is a 90 degree dogleg right.
Your drive has to be just about perfect to even
have a look at the green. It appears as though
the course was designed and then it was realized
that they didn't leave enough room for the ninth
green so they just stuck it half way up the hill
towards the clubhouse.
The proshop is tiny and has little or no stock.
This is a small municipal course that is fun to
play - the beverage cart is not missed given the
nine hole layout and relatively easy walk.
Best Hole: 3
Why: Of the longer holes on the course, this par
5 requires a good drive to have a decent second
shot as the fairway doglegs to the left and then
back to the right before the green. Generally
a fun hole with a chance to make birdie.
