Football Skins

A very popular game for the lower handicaps. This game is played as a Classic Skins game with the following twists. A player who wins a hole "has the ball" and must confirm the skin by obtaining a par or better on the next hole. If the player does not confirm with a par or better he fumbles "the ball" and the game continues. If a player birdies a hole while another is attempting to confirm, the birdying player intercepts "the ball" unless the confirming player also birdies the hole. If a player who is confirming the hole does so and also has the lowest score on that hole they maintain control of "the ball" and must confirm the skin for that hole scoring par or better on the next hole. Set values for each hole are determined prior to play. Carryovers are a must for this game and also recommended is the practice of doubling the value of any given hole on which a skin is first made (but not confirmed) by a birdie.
